MEDITERRANEAN STICKS

Glorious pretzels with slightly crunchy exterior and soft inside, easy to prepare, having fun with aromas and flavors that are always different, good for accompanying dips, salad, cheese, meat or fish.

Ingredients for 50 sticks

  • 140 g whole grain flour
  • 60 g whole whey flour
  • 15 g golden lime seeds
  • 200 ml of sparkling water
  • 30 ml of extra virgin olive oil
  • 40 g tomato paste
  • 6 g yeast for salty cakes
  • 2 teaspoons of chopped herbs (I used this mix: parsley, basil and fresh thyme, dried oregano)
  • 5 g salt

How to prepare Mediterranean sticks

Preheat the oven at 150 ° C.

In a bowl, combine the yeasts floured with yeast and salt.

In a tall, tight container with a diving mixer, smooth the flax seeds with water, oil and tomato paste.

Pour the liquid ingredients into the flour bowl, add the chopped herbs, mix the dough well.

If you want, you can pour the dough immediately into a sticks-shaped oven, or you can rest it to give the flax seeds to create their fantastic gel, pour it into an pastry bag and form sticks on a normal baking tray covered with baking paper.

Bake for about 12 minutes at about 150 ° C.
