They have the same consistency as toffee or mou candy but they are raw and do not contain dairy and sugar …. just fruit.
The “toffee” is a candy born in the early nineteenth century, it is very caloric because it consists mainly of butter or cream milk. It is very popular in England in the United States, Canada and Australia. In Italy it is known as “candy mou”.
Ingredients for 30 candies
- 100 g dried plums
- 30 g unsweetened sunflower seed cream (ready or home-made, just chop with a mixer and in a little patience the sunflower seeds)
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 1 g of powdered ginger
- 1 g of vanilla
- 1 pinch salt

- Peel of 1 orange
How to prepare candy
Cut the plums into chunks and blend them with the rest of the ingredients.
If the plums look too dry, put them in soak for 5 minutes in boiling water.
Lined with baking paper a square or rectangular container, pour into the compound of smoothen fruit and level it.
Decorate with orange or citrus peel cut into small dabs, cover with other baking paper and with your hands slightly pressed the dough on the dough.
To cut the candy we must harden the dough, put it in a freezer for at least 3 hours.
After spending 3 hours, you can remove the dough from the freezer and cut it into squares or in the shape you like.
Keep these candies in a freezer and use them to remove them a few minutes before.
