Compared to juices and extracts, these drinks do not require special equipment, the fiber content of all the ingredients remains unaltered and the sugars present are not absorbed and metabolized too quickly.
In traditional recipes are added dairy products of various kinds and sugars in high dose:

- milk shakes, are prepared by mixing pureed fruit and fresh milk or yogurt
- shakes are made of fruit and ice cream
- smoothies are fruit and vegetable drinks with added ice and a few tablespoons of cow’s milk to make them more liquid or low-fat yogurt to thicken them.
One way not to abuse dairy products and to change our diet is to use nuts and oil seeds to create a creamy base that replaces milk and yogurt, and frozen fruit for a couple of hours to replace ice cream.

HOW TO PREPARE A CREAMY AND NUTRIENT BASE
INGREDIENTS FOR 2 PEOPLE:
◇ 45 g of nuts or oilseeds of your choice
◇ or ◇
◇ 45 g ready-made cream of 100% non-roasted nuts or oil seeds and free from sugars or other additives
◇ 125 ml of water.
FROM WHOLE NUTS OR OIL SEEDS
◇ Soak the nuts
◇ or ◇
◇ the selected oil seeds.
◇ Throw the soaking water and rinse the nuts ◇ or ◇ the oil seeds very well.
◇ Pour the nuts ◇ or ◇ the oilseeds in a blender and blend until a creamy consistency is added, adding the water a little at a time.
FROM CREAM READY TO NUTS OR SEED OIL SEEDS
◇ Mix the water with a ready-made cream with an immersion mixer.
AT THE BASE CREAM YOU CAN ADD
◇ other water if needed
◇ seasonal fruit and vegetables, sprouts
◇ fresh herbs
◇ spices
◇ superfood
◇ lemon juice to protect other ingredients from oxidation
◇ dried fruit ◇ goji berries, prunes, figs, and more to sweeten ◇ leave the dried fruit to soak for 30 minutes, then shake it with its water and the other ingredients of your drink
BEVERAGE PREPARATION
◇ Add to the creamy base the ingredients you prefer and blend all together.
◇ The best thing is to drink your drink immediately, but if necessary you can keep it in the refrigerator, well closed in a container with a cap, perhaps those able to create a state of emptiness.
